Interested in meeting local attorneys and lawyers?   Want a time to network with professionals?


SEALS is sponsoring the Nitty Gritty Meet n’ Greet this Tuesday November 17 from 6-8pm that promises you these opportunities and more! 


If you are interested in networking and possibly finding a mentor that can help you with your future career plans then this is the event for you!!  We have invited local attorneys and lawyers over to talk to and answer questions from interested students.  Be sure to come professionally dressed and prepared with questions so you can obtain the best experience out of this event.   

Professional dress is required and food will be provided.  Hope to see you all there!!

 

General Body Meeting

“Bridging the gap with a law degree, professions outside of the courtroom”
Featuring Guest Speaker Lisa A. Wilson University Legal Counsel for University of Wisconsin

Topics that will be covered include:

Her experience working both in the Legal and Health fields
Steps that helped her achieve her current career
Exploring the work that other health law attorneys perform
Points to consider if planning on going to law school

She will also be featuring a discussion of the work that she does including: human subject research, stem cell research, medical malpractice and ethics.
Be sure to be there to gain insights about how health and law interact with one another in the real world.  Also if you are going for a degree in health or medicine this would be a great opportunity for you to explore your professional and graduate school options!


The room number of our meeting is yet to be announced, but we will email you with any updates!  But don’t be afraid to e-mail us with your questions and/or concerns.


This event is being co-sponsored by AHANA and PALMA, two other great student organizations on campus.

 

LSAT Tutorial Workshops

LSAT Tutorial workshops are an excellent method to help you prepare for the LSAT. These are going to be run by a LSAT tutor that will give you the techniques that you need to make the most out of your testing experience and improve your test score! Use these opportunities to help you identify your weak points and get a chance to be given guidance to help you develop solutions to overcome them. This is perfect for members that want to get an excellent head start with their LSAT preparations, be sure to come and take advantage of these amazing opportunities!
