General Body Elections!

Elections are upon us again and we want to make it known any and all members of SEALS are eligible to apply. This is a great way to help you gain invaluble experience collaberating on a team for a noble cause. All positions are eligible to be filled because even those on the board now need to be reelected. Take advantage of this awesome opportunity to become more involved on campus!

Steps to apply:

1. Look at this document that lists the duties of each position, and choose one or more that interest you.

2. Fill out the half page application and send it back to the SEALS gmail account

3. Be prepared to speak at the election meeting in April for 1-2 minutes (time and place TBA). This does not need to be a long and elaborate speech. We just want to know why you want to run for the position(s) you have chosen and why you believe you will be a good fit for the position. Basically say how you can help SEALS and how SEALS can help you.

Now in the unlikely event that you do not want to run for a board position, you can still come to the elections to vote on who you want to see on the next board. Make your voice heard!

Good luck!

JD versus MBA
Those of you who attended the Plus Program meeting had the wonderful experience of heard Collins Byrd (Dean of Admissions for Iowa Law) speak. Many students are confused as to what the difference between graduate level degrees are. He having an MBA himself and his wife having both an MBA and JD have an extensive knowledge of the similarities and differences between these two degrees. Attached is a document that he has developed over the years that compares the above listed degrees.
